I believe in having fun to relieve stress. Some experiences that made me believe this were when I played manhunt. Sometimes you stumble upon something unexpected. That thing is truly amazing. That’s what happened to me one day when I was with my friends. I discovered that having fun helps you to relieve stress. When you are stressed out you don’t need a massage. You need to have fun because it occupies your mind, and doesn’t let you stress out about anything.
I played manhunt at my friend Ben’s house. There were so many kids there. We played manhunt for at least 4 hours. Then we had a sleepover at Ben’s house. We didn’t worry about anything, we didn’t stress out about anything.
Another time was when I was at my friend Brett’s’ house and he had a huge manhunt party. It was so much fun and we played all over his neighborhood. We hid under cars, and in people’s houses. We had to get to the stop sign and touch it, and if our whole team was on the stop sign we won. Everybody was laughing and joking around because they weren’t stressed out about anything.
Once when I had a manhunt game at my house I invited so many kids there were at least 50 kids there. It was a huge game and the other team hid everywhere. They hid in the woods, near the pond, up in trees and behind rocks. It was a foggy night and my team kept searching for the last 2 people on the other team. Finally we decided to give up and we told them that they won. Then James and Brendan, the last 2 people came out of the fog and started laughing. Before you knew it we all started laughing. We didn’t care or stress out about the tests coming up.
Another time was when I was at my friend Shawn’s house and we played manhunt. It was his birthday party so Shawn and I locked ourselves in his dad’s tool shed. Shawn knew a trick to lock the door and make it so that nobody could open it unless you were inside the shed. We also put a plank of wood on the garage door so nobody could open it. Then Shawn and I waited to see when they would find us. Sean was the first one to find us. He knew how to lock the door so he went to the garage door and tried to open it. It started to rise but I simply stood on it and he couldn’t lift it with my weight on it. Shawn and I started laughing at Sean and we didn’t stress out about anything.
My last experience is when I was at my friend Gianni’s house and we played manhunt. Kris and I hid together by the road behind a rock. They kept looking for us but they couldn’t find us. Then a car came down the road and it shone its light on Kris and I, and the other team saw our shadows. I stood up and started sprinting, but then I fall into a little hole in the street and cut my knee. I get up and start sprinting again, and then I lose them and I go up to Gianni’s mom and ask her for a band-aid for my knee. Then Kris comes up and says that he fell in the same spot that I did and he hurt his arm. Then we both start laughing. We didn’t have to stress out about anything.
I have changed since this event. I have changed because now I don’t stress out so much over tests and projects. Now I can focus more on other things because I don’t have as much stress. Before I used to study really hard for a test now I study but space it out. I would study a long time each night because I stressed out about how hard it was. Now I don’t stress out so much.
In conclusion that’s why I believe that to relieve your stress filled lives you need to have fun. To have fun you don’t need to play manhunt. To have fun is doing something that makes you happy. That’s what you should do when you are feeling stressed out.
