This Is What I Believe

There are many things that I strongly believe in. Things such as the power of love, how your inner strength can make you accomplish anything, or even that true world peace could exist. However, what I would like to write about today is how I believe the government has way more power then we think. I believe that America should be a true democracy and let the people decide and let the people know everything that’s truly going on in the world. The government often hides things and makes many unfavorable decisions. The government also has to much say in our lives. Although I do believe in how there needs to be a lot of security and things like that too keep us safe.

Do you feel its right to take away rightfully earned money out of peoples pay checks every time they receive one? That’s not right! The government takes money from everything else too, such as food and clothing. Who knows where this money actually goes to since they lie about so many other things. The political system is extremely corrupted everywhere; this town, the state of New Jersey, and America. Something absolutely needs to be done about it. They waste money on ridiculous things involving war, common sense stop killing our men, bring them home, and knock off this fighting crap! We learn as young children not to fight and be nice, did the government just completely forget or something?

Another point id like to bring up is the governments branch of the judicial system. Any jerk could be a mother or a father, but it takes a lot more to be a mom and a dad. This government makes it possible for a good mom who has been taking care of her children to have them taken away from her half the week to go with their father who maybe has only seen them once in their life and truly does not give a crap about them! I believe that’s ridiculous. I have a friend with a similar situation. Her mother has two children who do not see or like their father at all. When the older one was younger, the father was around for a little while then left the family. A few years later he came back and they had another child. Because he is a jerk he, decided that he did not want the kids anymore and left again. He only saw that new child once. The family now lives perfectly happy away from the father. Long story short, the father did some bad things that the government let him get away with I might add. The older child understands, but the younger one cant yet. The poor little boy will never know who his real dad was. Anyway since the children live with their mom, they want their mom’s last name instead. In order to legally change the children’s last name, the government requires the permission from a father that doesn’t even bother with his children. You should just need one signature, whoever the children live with. The older child is old enough to use both last names, but its still legally her fathers last name. I believe that it should not be that way. I believe that the people need more say in what goes on in their own life, don’t you agree?
