The Time Has Come

The time has come for some changes to be made in our country. We need to have a multiple party system rather than just the democrats and republicans. For too long, these parties have destroyed the foundation of our country with their constant bickering and always trying to “one up the competition.” We, as a people, need to start a true bluegrass movement and let the individuals and groups in Washington DC know that we will not stand for their types of behavior any longer!

For me the need for more than two parties started when both parties decided that it was more important to bail out the banks rather than the American people who, some lost every bit of retirement because of the banks poor judgment. Overnight both the House and Senate, which were controlled by the Democrats, voted to give an enormous amount of money that our grandchildren will still be paying off, to these banks who squandered away individuals money. This was an outrage to many people who actually knew what was going on in Washington and for most people; they had no idea what the government was doing. This led to the recession that we are still climbing out of today.

I believe that we the people need to be better informed when we are choosing who we send to Washington and we need to get more parties into the House and Senate to stop all the corruption going on in Washington. With more than just two parties things may actually get done and we might see some progress instead of always seeing the two parties butt heads day in and day out.
