I believe that in some shape or form all people in the united states of America are selfish. In many ways, people only look out for themselves and no one else. Numerous amounts of people just want more and more money, clothes, cars, and unessential things in life when they have more then most people. It seems like people are content with what they have for just a little bit then they get bored and have to have something else. But in reality people in third world nations would be happy to have a car that doesn’t break down everyday or have a enough food everyday so that their families are not hungry when they go to bed. There are villages in Africa where they would be happy to have enough water for themselves to survive while people here just wish that they could have water to run their cars or jump into for a nice swim on a hot summer day. People in America are very selfish and spend more then they need to in order to make themselves excited while they could be selfless and give to those who have nothing.
People In America get bored with what they have very quickly while others would be excited to have less then what those people are bored with. It’s seen so often that people work so hard and get so much money for something that they want so bad such as a nice car or new clothes. They finally get to the goal of what they were striving to meet for so long then after about six months that person wants something else. Now what? Oh yes! The money that person spent has now been wasted all because the person got bored. What else could have been done with that money? There are programs to help feed and clothe children in other countries that cost 30 dollars a month. The money could be spent helping someone less fortunate rather then helping themselves to something irrelevant. Its very frustrating to watch others be so selfish while other s suffer.
