I believe that hard work and determination will pay off in the long run. The reason I say this is because I am a clear example of it and I see myself being very successful in my future.
The story is about my life, As far as I remember I have always been a hard worker ever since 8th grade. During 7th grade school was tough for me and I was in a downward spiral and it wasn’t looking good for my future. That time of my life was not what it should have been at 13. I was doing non-age appropriate stuff and hanging out with a bad crowd. I Nearly failed all my classes.
8th grade I turned everything around I did every assignment, and passed all my classes with an A or B. At the end of 8th grade year there was a field trip that only the top half of the class was invited to go to Six Flags. As I look back and it wasn’t such a big thing or maybe it’s because I chose not to go, but besides that I felt like something was good about being at the smarter half of the school.
During the summer in between 8th grade and freshman year, I changed many bad habits about myself like being more responsible for my own actions and the problems that follow.
Now as I am about to graduate from high school and starting college, my academics have earned me a few scholarships. All together school was going to cost me 30,000 dollars; but when you subtract all the grants and scholarships it comes to about 6,000 dollars.
I can only be thankful for everyone who has helped me along the way and, the hard work I put in school and even working extra over the weekends to better myself. Everyday I go to the library, every time I do my homework I am the reason why I am here. Its not because of someone pushing me, I pushed myself to the limit, never stopping, never giving up.
