“Is he sleeping? If he is then why do Grandma’s, Mom’s and Dad’s faces have fear hidden behind their eyes.?What happened to my little brother ? I thought he was looking at the sea of shoes that surrounded us.” My grandma worked at Fred Myer in the shoe department. I really loved swimming in the sea of shoes. Grandma took me back to where the shoes were hidden , when we came back I saw my brother sleeping on the pale snow white spotted floor. Before I knew what was happening I was rushed to our beat up, giant of a car. I sat in the front, immediately I felt fear run through my body along with the first wave of tears that were going to wash over me like a water fall. We drove the car to my Grandma’s house. Derek was trying to fall into a deep sleep, but Mom was in the back seat trying to keep my little brother awake. My dad kept trying to help my mom while driving the giant car and trying to keep me from moving into the backseat . We arrived at my Grandma’s house , Derek fully asleep in the back seat .Mom and Dad had fear written all over their faces. When we got inside the house Mom took me straight to the TV room and put in my favorite movie, Pollyanna. After I knew my mom and dad were not going to check on me I wanted to see my brother, I was worried . I walked to the hall that looks into my grandma’s living room to see several people in black clothes and a” tool box” on the floor by them , looking at my brother and trying to wake him up from his sleep. The tears come rushing down my face like a hurricane. I ran to my mom who now is showing her fear by crying too. Mom notices me when I am at her side. She tries to hide the people in the black clothes from me and takes me back into the TV room. She tries with all her might to calm the both of us down , but it doesn’t work at first. Slowly, she calmed us both down , I fell asleep in her arms. When I woke up about thirty minutes later, my mom , dad and my little brother were gone. I had no idea where they were. Luckily my grandma was there to calm me down by six simple words , “He is going to be okay”

I Tell you the story because could have lost my brother that night but someone was watching over my family. I have a strong feeling that person was the Christ. My brother could’ve e had some brain damage due to hard he hit is head on the floor. But my brother is know running around playing soccer just like he nothing had ever happened to him. I believe Christ has something in plan for him that no one else can do. For example he is the only one that could have kept the peace between me and my little sister when he was home. He I the only one that can be my little brother. I KNOW with out a doubt that Christ kept my little brother on the Earth to help his family grow closer together. So, I tell you this story because I believe without a doubt that Derek is fine because the lord has something in store for him when he get older.
