I Believe in Abolishing Abortion:
I believe in abolishing abortion. The topic of abortion is often thought of as a simple medical procedure. It is most certainly not. Abortion is a form of holocaust and it is the murder of babies, in turn that means the “murder” of God’s plan for that baby’s life. The average death rate of abortions in the United States since the Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973 has increased by 88%.
Each year, about 848,000 babies are killed by abortion as of 2003, with the numbers slowly increasing. Most of the mothers of these infants were teens just like us. Some veterinarians are now even preforming abortions on animals such as dogs or cats if the owner so chooses to have the procedure done. Now that President Obama’s Freedom of Choice Act is being put into order, the rates of these yearly killings will increase twofold or greater! Everyone has their own opinion about this act, but my belief is that this will only make things worse.
The Catholic Church’s view on abortion has not changed over the years. As I stated earlier, each baby that is murdered by the holocaust of abortion is murdering one of God’s plans for life. Every life is sacred, and the bible says that life begins at conception, not at birth. After this act is passed, every hospital in America will be forced to have at least one abortionist employed. If this happens, all Catholic affiliated hospitals will be shut down, due to the fact that they would refuse to preform the operations.
In my final personal opinion, I would like to state that almost as many fetuses and lives have been destroyed by abortion as Jews were during the Holocaust. Abortion is a form of genocide, meaning that it is the killing or extermination of a specific race (fetuses.) No living creature deserves to die, especially if their cries for help cannot be heard. If a baby in its mother’s womb shouts for a chance at life, to grow up and love others, some hear it; but others do not. ALL life is sacred and a person is a person, no matter how small they may be.
