Enjoy Being a Kid

I believe you should enjoy being a kid while you can. Most of us kids want to hurry up and get out of school and get a job. We think when we grow up no one can tell us what to do anymore. When we are adults we get to decide when to go to bed, what we want to wear, and where we want to go. We won’t have to ask anyone’s permission about getting a tattoo or a piercing. When we grow up we think we do not have to go to birthday parties for people we do not know or to our parent’s friend’s house for a boring dinner. We think that life will be great when we grow up. We need to remember as a kid we get the summer off and a two-week break at Christmas. We just show up for vacation and enjoy it without have to do any of the planning or worry about paying for it. After school we can go outside, play sports, do extra curricular activities, play video games, and watch tv. We don’t have to cook dinner or do the grocery shopping. When I get together with my older cousins that are in college, they tell me how hard it is to be grown up and have to worry about budgeting your money. The money you make goes to things like paying your bills, buying food, and putting gas in your car. That does not leave much money left over for buying things like video games, music, or electronic systems. You have to know the difference between your needs and your wants. Kids don’t think about there always being people you have to answer to. It may be that you can’t get a job you want because they do not allow tattoos. There is usually some sort of dress code and sometimes your boss can even decide how long you can grow your hair. You have to budget your money so that you do not run out because with today’s economy that can be very east to do. It seems like you are always doing things to please other people no matter how old you are. I believe you should just enjoy whatever age you are.
