For all is Family and Family is all

I believe in Family. With mine, how could I believe in anything else? We are loud, we are boisterous, we are chaotic and we are each others. We laugh together in the light and hold each other in the dark. We find each other when we need company and watch from afar when we need to be alone. We know each other and we see who we can be and we strive to that together. This I believe.

I believe in my Mom, who raised me and my siblings, giving us everything we needed, always putting us first. I believe in my Dad, who works uncountable hours each week to give us everything we want but still manages to be there for every recital, every award and every show. I believe in my little siblings. I believe that they will always be my babies, even though I am only their sister and they are growing up. I believe in my Sister Emily, who fights for the sake of fighting and sings for the sake of singing and is my best friend through and through. I believe in my Sister Jillian, who follows me by creating her own path, who listens to what I say and leans on me when she needs to. I believe in my Brother Perry, who is more of a gentleman than any boy his age can be, who is sweeter than anyone I know. I believe in my Grandmothers, Granma and Nana, who watch out for me and always know what to say. I believe in my Grandfathers, Grampa and Pop-pop, who are gone but always with me every step of the way, following me to school and home and away, guiding me on my path. I believe in my Aunts, Bonni, Michelle, Mer, and Dellen, who support me in everything I do. I believe in my Uncles, Stu, Rob, Danny, Harold and Uri, who make me laugh and keep me grounded. I believe in my Cousins; Mikey, Ricky, Becca, Jakey, Charlie, Wallis, Lauren, Ethan, Candice, Jonah, Carly and Tori who laugh at me and with me and put up with me. I believe in the chaos we create and the laughter we share. I believe in the sadness that we move through together and the happiness that we are not apart. I believe in the truth that we can show and the secrets that we must hide and the bond that is created by learning which is which. This I believe.

And I believe that Family is not based solely on blood or marriage. I believe that I have more Sisters than I can count and more brothers than I could ever need. I believe that my family surrounds me day and night, night and day, wherever I am and wherever they may be. I believe that I am always with them. This I believe.

Family holds us together when times get rough. Family is what I am and who I was and who I will be. Family is my past, Family is my present and Family is my future. Family will follow me wherever I go, because even in the darkest regions of the farthest universe, Love still can pass and where Love is, Family can be found. Family keeps me grounded, Family keeps me sane and Family never lets me fall. Family will keep me strong even when I am weak and I will give my Family strength when they need it most from me. Family is my one truth to this world and the ones before and the ones to come. Family is what is truly there. This I believe.
