This I Believe

I believe that people should be free to exercise free will. Whenever someone wants to do something no matter what it is, they should have the right to do it. Say a person wants to do some type of drugs then they should be able to do that without question. I believe that if someone wants to put those things into their body then they can and not have to worry about getting in trouble for it. Free will is a huge responsibility and I believe that if you want to take that on then go for it. Even little things like eating right and keeping your body in good shape is a type of free will. If you want to eat things that are not good for you and not take good care of your body then that is your decision and nobody should be able to tell you, you cannot do it.

There have been a few times when I have not had free will and I understand that I am young and there are not certain things that I can do but I wish that I had free will just like older people. I believe that if you can show enough responsibility then you should be able to do more and not worry about getting in trouble for it. I am not saying younger people should have all privileges as older people but a little more than they do now.

Doing drugs is another big discussion and decision you have to ask yourself if it is the right thing to do. I believe that doing these things should not be illegal. You have the choice to make for yourself. I do not think that the laws should tell you, you cannot do something to your own body. It is not if it is wrong or right, it is more if you want to do that to your body or not.

I believe that if someone wants to lie in a tanning bed and have those lights be that close to their skin then they have that right and should not be criticized for it. The law makers are trying to make it where you have to be sixteen or older to lay in a tanning bed but I do not think that is right at all and this should not be passed. If they made this a law then they would lose a good bit of customers and business from other people. Most of the places that have tanning beds require the person to be eighteen anyways and if they are not of age then their parent has to sign off for them. I believe that free will should be promoted a little more and let people have more freedom just to see how it goes and if it does not work out then they can be more strict about it again.
