I Believe

I believe that life is always better when you can share it with others. Without other people to celebrate life with, life would be a dull and boring existence. Whether it is a wedding, a birthday, or even getting a good grade on a test, it would be no fun without someone to share that enjoyment. I believe in this because I have always been surrounded by family and friends that love and care for me. They have helped me to become who I am today, and I don’t know what life would be without them.

I believe that being with others is the way to make life better. In my everyday life, being with others makes the day go by easier and helps me look forward to the next one. I know every day that I can go to track practice and go through the same challenges with my teammates. Since I am not alone and know others are throwing, lifting, and trying to become better, I am more encouraged to become better. Also, I eat most meals with my friends. When I am with them, I can relate things that have happened during the day. It could be sports, the weather, or even what is happening with one of their classes. Whatever it is the, day is always better when I am sharing it with others.

Although every day brings a new experience to share with others, special ones can also bring us together. However, not all special occasions are happy and joyous. I remember almost a year ago when my aunt died of cancer at the young age of 50. Although it was a sad time and one of loss, it was also a time when people were brought together. I remember seeing my family, my extended family, and people I had never met. Although it was a time of mourning, it felt special that I was able to share the life of my aunt with all of these people.

Now the sad occasions of life are special and meaningful to the heart, but happy celebrations are what I live for. It could be going to a ball game with my friends or out to dinner with some of my family. One of my best memories is last summer when I had my graduation party. All of my family and friends joined me in celebrating my success in graduating high school. We had it catered and even set up horseshoes and badminton. It was a great day when I got to spend time with those that meant the most to me.

I believe that without people around me, my life would not be as special as it has been. I would be a much different person without my friends and family. I don’t think I would be open to new things and risks. I believe without others to share my experiences with, life would not be as fun or rewarding.
