Mother-Power

I BELIEVE in Mother-Power

We all start out with one.

They provide, or not, to differing degrees: Love.

This is the love of nurture.

This is the love of safety.

This is the love of feeling valuable.

This is the love that connects us to each other as human beings.

If we get it, we know how to be loving in the world.

If we don’t we see the world as an uncertain, and dangerous place.

This love can be the difference between:

a suicide bomber, and Mother Terissa.

war and peace

trust and fear

anger and hugs

I BELIEVE “lovers” need to be present at all unloved births, so that love can catch, and hold the in-coming child. The hope would be that we would change ourselves in the world to children that love life, and those in it.

These children would be: not afraid of:

life

social status

uncertainty

physical differences

belief differences

each other

Hands (as our new president said) would reach for each other, instead of fists.

I BELIEVE every person on this planet would have all they need if we could simply use our resources to care for each other as opposed to protect ourselves from each other.

I BELIEVE this is a difficult thing to accomplish, but don’t know why.
