Why I’ve come to believe we’re living in Purgatory…

As Father John Corapi so eloquently states, “Purgatory is the final purification of a person who is on their way to heaven.”* Are we not all on that journey, constantly being purified/tested/tried through fire, flood, etc. etc.? Some may believe we’re actually in hell – and there are times, I may well agree. However, you must admit there’s (occasionally) enough “good” around us (love, beauty, blah, blah, blah…smile) to realize we can’t be in hell, exactly. But there’s certainly enough CR@P (evil, hate, natural & “unnatural” disasters….) to KNOOOWWW we’re FAAAR from heaven. I know this is not a “feel good” philosophy – but there’s an undeniable ring of truth in it.
