Why I’ve come to believe we’re living in Purgatory…
As Father John Corapi so eloquently states, “Purgatory is the final purification of a person who is on their way to heaven.”* Are we not all on that journey, constantly being purified/tested/tried through fire, flood, etc. etc.? Some may believe we’re actually in hell – and there are times, I may well agree. However, you must admit there’s (occasionally) enough “good” around us (love, beauty, blah, blah, blah…smile) to realize we can’t be in hell, exactly. But there’s certainly enough [email protected] (evil, hate, natural & “unnatural” disasters….) to KNOOOWWW we’re FAAAR from heaven. I know this is not a “feel good” philosophy – but there’s an undeniable ring of truth in it.
