Abortion

When my birth mom Stacy found out that she was pregnant, she thought that the only way not to have a child was to get an abortion. Stacy was date raped. She was up on a mountain sniffing mushrooms. The day she was was supposed to get the abortion, her boyfriend Lance said that his car wouldn’t start. He didn’t want to live his whole life knowing that he helped kill a child. Stacy took that as a sign from God.

The same thing happened to my older sister’s birth mom Lisa. She got pregnant and wasn’t planning on it. It was a date rap. She went to a party and got drunk. Lisa didn’t believe that abortion was the right choice. Lisa and Stacy were good friends and helped each other through the hard time they were having.

My mom that I am living with and my old dad tried to find kids to adopt. They sent in an application to this lady and the next week they found a family that wanted someone to adopt their child. It was Lisa. Lisa invited them to a family get together that they were having in a couple of weeks.

When they got there, they met the family and asked how Lisa was doing. They shared a good relationship with the family.

About one week later, my parents got a letter in the mail from Seattle and it said, “I really like the relationship that you have with Lisa. You don’t know what my story is and you know nothing about me, but I was wondering if you could care for my child.”

My parents said that they would be happy to. They all kept in contact until the day that they were due to have their baby’s.

The day that Lisa and the day that Stacy were due, my parents flew up to see them. As soon as Lauran and I were born, my parents signed a lot of papers and got total custody of us.

Once me and my sister got older, my mom told us this story. She said that they really did love us and cared about how we would be growing up and that is why they put us up for adoption. My sister and I both have met our birth moms and hope that we can see them again sometime.

Even if you’re not ready to have kids, adopt them out. That is how my sister and I got to where we are now. Just try not to make dumb decisions in your life. I really respect my birth mom for what she did.

I believe that abortion is the wrong thing to do and that people shouldn’t be doing it. Some people think that when they go into that abortion place their child isn’t fully developed and they aren’t hurting anything. Wrong, there is a child inside of you and it is alive. Be the better person and do what is best.
