A gloomy, dark, cloud covered the rays of sunlight. The rays of life, and joy seemed to vanish; now, all that was left was a murky shadow that lay like a blanket over the earth. As though someone dimmed the lights, darkness took over. Looking out the window I think to myself why days such as this seem to create a depressing, sad, cheerless air. Is that murky cloud in the sky responsible for the feeling? Or are people simply led to believe that murky days that promise rain will create a intolerant, and many times an angry mood? Seems like as water begins to sprinkle from the sky, the larger the rain drops get the more lighting houses get from the screens of television. A normal occurrence these days, turning on a movie and spending a lazy day resting on the couch with a table of junk food in front of a TV. After many thoughts and memories, I have grown to believe that a thankful heart is immensely important in our every day lives.
I believe that a gloomy, dark sky can turn into a refreshing, wonderful, exhilarating day with only the help of a certain positive feeling. I believe that just by being an optimist, noticing, and being thankful for small treasures, our world would be a better place. A thankful heart is a treasure that many people do not take the time to search for. Many times I catch myself in a grouchy, tiered mood, when I do not take the time to stop, and enjoy the beauty that God has created around me. Whose fault is it that my day was not an amazing memorable one? Only mine, If I had taken the time to concentrate on the small positive aspects of my life, and ignore the tiered feeling, thank God for giving me the strength and energy to even appear at the certain place, even though a little tiered, my energy would have risen immensely. I believe that the feeling of thankfulness can be inspiring, and encouraging, can turn any day into a day full of happiness, can turn a life into a living dream.
