I believe that we have the ability and power to end world hunger. Although there are many people that are greatly affected by lack of food and water, I believe we have the power to supply every person with the essentials. There are many organizations that constantly strive to supply and aid people without access to food and water and other such necessities. One great program that helps those in need of food is freerice.com, which for every question that is answered correctly, 10 grains of rice is given to those in need. This goes to show that anyone can ultimately make a huge difference. If many of us decided to put even a small amount of time and effort into helping or funding the organizations, I believe we could greatly improve the food supply and wealth of many third world countries. I believe that if everyone plays their part in the struggle to end world hunger, not only will we help those in need, but also we will learn to cooperate better between ourselves. This would benefit not only the victims of hunger, but also help us to work together amongst ourselves. If we cooperate as one, much more can be achieved and many more lives can be saved.
Many people decide not to help with these organizations because they do not think ending world hunger can be achieved, but yet do not realize that with the help of everyone, much more can be achieved and many more people can be supplied with food and water. I believe world hunger can be greatly changed and many improvements can be made to end it. Every day, 24,000 people die of hunger, three out of four of which are under five years of age. Even small donations or one to two hours a day of help from any people around the world could drastically alter world hunger for the better. Although many organizations and funds have developed over the years, there is still great need for people around the world to become involved and participate in aiding other less fortunate countries. Sharing technology, water, food, and land resources with other nations could greatly decrease the number of people in need of the basic necessities. I believe that with the willing help of the millions of fortunate and privileged people, that we, as one, can greatly benefit those in need and make a difference throughout the world.
