The Talent Show with a Billion Acts

Have you heard of the lady that walked across the Great Wall of China toe-heel in just 10 hours? Yeah, me neither but there probably is someone who tried. There must be someone who can make it from one end of a football field to another in just a couple leaps. Another person who can sit in a history class listening to everything the teacher says in a monotone voice for an hour and twenty minutes without yawning. Well, I believe everyone has a talent.

Some people consider themselves un-talented while others think everything they do is a talent. I personally see everyone as a talented person. I think that no matter how small the talent is you are considered talented. For certain things you have to work hard for in order to achieve. People don’t just wake up one morning and become an actor or actress, you have to practice and start low then soon you have a talent. Some people just have amazing abilities like being able to memorize numbers, songs or lines easily.

I looked up the definition of talent and the definition was: a special natural ability or aptitude. I thought to myself well if that’s what it means then everyone has a talent. I’ve been told I can text really fast, so I see that as a talent. I also like to cook new things and so I look for recipes on the internet and try to make the foods that seem good enough to eat. Then when I actually make the foods they taste like I’ve had experience cooking that food before. So, I basically also have a talent for following recipes well.

Having a talent doesn’t necessarily mean you know how to play an instrument, dance really well, or sing. Usually, those are the types of things you see in a talent show. My opinion is that the more unique your talent is, the more fun the talent show is to watch. Talents are special, and you shouldn’t be ashamed of them because if what you can do is truly a talent you won’t be embarrassed to show it off to the world. If you are reading this I challenge you to show a friend or family member your talent I’m sure they’ll smile. If you have an ability to do something really well, you are talented and that’s my belief.
