I believe that something good comes from every situation. A very close family member of mine used to work at a popular business in our area. She was a really good worker, always doing what she was told, helping others. She got recognized for this too. She could help you with something you didn’t understand, even if you had been there longer than her, and she would do it without making you feel bad, or stupid for not knowing it.
She took too many sick days and ended up getting let go. They really didn’t want to do it, knowing she was a good worker in all, but they had to. Even though she knew this she was still upset about it. She liked her work, and the people she worked with. She didn’t let it get to her long. She spent that entire day doing tons of applications, if I can remember correctly she had nearly 100 applications filled out and turned in, that many interviews followed.
Since then, she’s worked at a few different jobs such as State Farm Insurance, OSU Medical Center, and now Aetna Insurance Company, and has enjoyed them all. After while, the business she used to work for was laying off there employees. Given that she was let go before all of those people were laid off from the company, she got the opportunity to get a head start on finding another company to work for…before the mob came, and she likes her new job now. She loves the job she’s at now, even though she has to pay for the gas to New Albany to get there, ha-ha.
Anyways, so what I’m getting at, she didn’t treat it like it was the end of the world. Usually when something like that happens to someone, they only think of that one bad thing, and not the good that came out of it, and how it affects you. People should have a more positive look at things. SO, don’t think only about what goes wrong in every situation, but about what didn’t, or what isn’t. Fix it. There is a positive in every situation. If it weren’t for the bad things that happen, it wouldn’t make the good things that much better, and be so great!
