Everyone goes through tough times. It is a part of life. What matters, is how you decide to handle it. You can dwell over it and feel sorry for yourself, or you just let time help you heal.
About a year ago, my dog died. He wasn’t really my dog, he was my mom’s boyfriends, but I felt like he was mine too. His name was Max. I only knew him for about a year but I love dogs, and death of anything hurts.
Max was getting pretty old, and he has a tumor on his side. His death was expected, but it obviously hurt. He was a really good dog. He was a doberman pinscher. He looked mean but he was such a sweet dog.
A few months ago, we got a new puppy. He is a miniature pinscher. We named him Petey. We were so happy when we got him. It was a long time after Max died, so we had time to heal. I don’t think getting a new dog can help you get over an old one. You have to heal before you can even think about getting another dog.
Even in devastating situations like death, I still believe that things get better with time. Time, I think, is the only thing that can really help something like that. People feel so bad and upset when things don’t go their way, but you just have to find a way to handle it your own way.
It’s not just death, that’s just a worst case scenario. Time can help if someone would get in an argument with their friend or if you got in a fight with your boss or something like that. You can be so mad at the time, but in the end, you know everything will pass over.
With the good times comes the bad, so if you want the good times, you have to take the bad with them. Just remember, everything gets better with time. You just have to be patient and just think when you’re in bad times, they’ll go away and the good ones will come.
