My life like baseball

I believe that baseball is like the game of life and that there are so many ways to go and so many possible obstacles and many possible outcomes. It all starts with the baseball diamond, theres a start and an end just like life. The foul lines represent the boundaries of life of what’s fair and what’s not. I represent the batter and decide what I want to do. I could take a chance and swing or I can take a pitch and let the obstacle pass and try again the next pitch. Sometimes life throws curves and you don’t know what to expect, and sometimes the ball is aimed right towards you, looking to take you down. Chances are given to everyone just as in baseball the batter gets 3 strikes and after 3 outs a fresh start is given. Most of the times people walk and they completely avoid the situation ahead.

Getting benched is just like getting grounded by your parents. Or in school getting in trouble with a teacher, principal, or even a fellow classmate with chances of detention, suspension, or expelled at worse. Maybe even with the law and sent to jail (just hope this doesn’t happen). But then when a person gets un-benched its like nothing happened at all and a fresh start is given. But then you get up to bat and again so many possibilities.

I believe a single represents an easy situation and people just breeze right through. A double represents a harder situation and with a little more strength a goal can be achieved. A triple is possibly the hardest situation and that you must dig and dig and never stop and give it your all until the ump yells “Safe”. Now a homerun just represents a good feeling and how chills run through your spines when you hear the crisp sound of the bat making contact with the ball and at the perfect angle it sores through the nights sky with the feeling that it will never again enter the atmosphere.

Then there’s the Grand Slam, which represents the best day of your life like when your parents tell you “Oh it was the happiest day of my life when you were born”. It could also represent your wedding day, which is supposed to be the best day ever or even being elected President of the United States. For some people they wont understand that to me life is like the game of baseball but it doesn’t matter because I always will and I have enough knowledge about baseball to spread these facts. For all of there I will continue to believe that my life is like Americas pastime.
