I believe in the power of heels. Growing up I used to be that little girl always trying on my mother’s heels or some that I had for dress up. It made me feel free to choose which heels I would put on. The heels made me see my future in some way, or my perfect little fairy tale of my own, yet I’ve always been a big dreamer and heels just bring the dream into reality. I always pictured myself being successful and older knowing that heels would always be a part of my life and future, as girly girl as it sounds. I consider myself a feminist and heels are the plus that brings it out. In high school I would always wear heels to school. Although it makes me look like a feminist the freedom to choose what I wanted to put on that day depended on my mood or what heels completed the outfit.
Heels represent me in all sorts of ways. Heels make me feel young, which I am, classy, and conservative. I feel independent as far as doing things for myself. Heels make me feel satisfied. They also match with my moods and personality on that given day. Heels are always one of a kind for me as they’re all unique and personal. I own many for all sorts of occasions for a casual day, a fun night out, a dinner party, or whatever the case may be, you will always find me in heels outside of college most of the time. My heels are all different from high heels to low heels, to funky designs, to all types of colors, from closed toe to open toe, from ankle booties to boots, so many styles for the perfect outfit it completes. Heels let me be any kind of girl while in them.
To me heels give me choice and options to choose from which is always new and exciting. Just like my life on a daily basis I have choices to make for myself. One of my biggest and recent choice is attending college and pursuing my own goals and future by shaping it how I want to and the way I’ve always dreamt about. I believe I can never have too many heels or choices. Heels describe whom I am not just in a girly way but also by my mixture of thoughts and feelings along with my freedom to choose. Heels have been part of me since I was a little girl and will always be a part of me while I’m working my way to my future and success. Heels are power to me in all these ways. The most important thing is heels give me freedom to choose who I am, what I do, and the power of my heels represents my freedom on a daily base.
