I believe in balance.
I have always appreciated the seasons. The seasons offer change, and a balance of cold and hot weather throughout the year. Each season is unique, but they all fit together so easily. Fall creating vibrant colored leaves, winter giving snow and white skies, spring creating warm and delicate flowers, and summer with its blazing heat. They blend so well together, and each balance out each other’s characteristics.
Another exciting aspect of the seasons is the holidays. The holidays are the most exciting times of the year, because they all offer something special. Christmas offers joyful songs, New years includes staying up until midnight, Valentines Day makes me feel loved, Easter allows creativity by decorating Easter eggs, Independence Day includes exciting parades, and Thanksgiving allows me to give thanks for what I have.
The holidays are always so much fun, and they all have something in common; bringing my family together. Each holiday brings out a different energy in everyone. The holidays are truly special to me because they are only a few times a year, which means the excitement everyone brings to each holiday is joyful.
The balance holiday’s offer is the difference between the celebrations, and the non-celebrations. Everyone is so stressed throughout the year with school or work, its good to have days that bring out happiness. It’s important to have different celebrations every year because it lets all the individual energy explode.
On the holidays I spend time with my family, but on the non-holidays I’m always with my friends. I believe it’s important to have a balance of all different friends. Each and every one of my friends is unique, and has significant differences. I can count on my friends for different things, depending on what they are best at. Theirs always a friend for advice on boys, a friend to help me study, a friend to go shopping with, and a friend that parties the best. Each one of my friends has a special gift that can always benefit me.
I never feel I’m being pushed into a clique, or being forced to be with that one “best friend”. I never have this feeling because I have friends from all different cliques, and I can trust just the people I’m close with. The people I trust are the people I consider my best friends. Unlike most people, I have many best friends, not just one. This is because I spend equal time with all of my friends. I pay equal attention to everyone, and love everyone the same, because they are what control the balance I need.
I really appreciate all the change and balance I have in my life. I can never have a bad year as long as the seasons still come around, the holidays still bring exciting energy, and I have my friends. These aspects of my life really even out who I am, and keep me impartial. Too much of the same would be not enough for me.
