This I Believe

I Believe in Dreaming Big

In today’s society many people do not dream big. They give up on their dreams for several reasons; the nation’s economy is bad, or they just to believe that they cannot do it. I believe that dreaming big is one of the most important things about this country. I can work towards my dream and make it a reality. Sure it takes time and patience, but what is greater than living in a country that allows the oppurnity to make a better living for yourself and family?

During this time, it is hard to see what if your dream will ever come true. You always hear about the Stock Market falling or a lot of people losing their jobs. It makes you wonder sometimes if there is any reason to continue trying to make your dream real. Just as the old saying goes “where there is a will, there is a way” holds truth, if you have the will to continue on working toward your dream, and keep yourself on the road toward the end you will succeed. I know for a fact that I have big dreams that I will accomplish someday. I have a dream of owning my own home, and traveling to different countries, when I am older. But sometimes I have doubts about my dreams, maybe these things will not happen because of the current home foreclosures and the current crisis that is happening in the Stock Market. I try not to let the things that happen in the Market discourage me from accomplishing my goal. I know if I can dream it and pray, about it God will lead me to my goal someday.

This country was founded by people who dreamed big. So many people have this opportunity to take one step each day toward making their dream a reality, without letting other things discourage them. I believe that one day I will fulfill my dream and make it reality.
