Don’t Live Your Life By Fate
Life can at times be a complicated thing. Can you imagine not planning ahead for the future at all? And just let fate carry you along. Our lives need structure. Without it this world would be a chaotic place to live. I believe that we cant just live our lives by fate. We need goals and planning to help our lives run smoothly.
Some people believe that they should just give everything up to fate. In some things that could be expectable. But if we never set out and do something, life may as well be pointless. IN order to succeed in life we need to set coals and constantly be working towards something important to us. I have a cousin who always thought life would turn his path the way it was supposed to go. He never really worked towards something. To me his life seemed like a constant party. It actually looked fun. Now that he is an adult, his life is a mess. He has gone through some pretty hard tirals, but never had anything important to him to hold on to. If we live only off of fate, when life gets rough we may not have a stable foundation to keep us standing.
Through out school, we are constantly being asked to set goals for ourselves. I used to wonder why they always asked us the exact same question. I figured if we had been asked once it was over and done with. I figured all my past goals would be have been pretty similar. You know, get married, go to college etc. etc. I was way wrong. My goals haven’t only changed but they have become larger. If I would have let fate choose my coarse I would never know what I wanted. I realize now that my future is something I need to sit down and think about. There are choices I have to make for myself. If I were to not make them, nobody could do it for me and I would most likely get no where in life.
Just like my cousin, we see people daily who are slowly letting their lives slip away. They look like they are enjoying themselves but I personally think that their happiness only lasts a short while. In this age we live in everything is becoming more complicated. Everything takes thinking ahead. College is such an important thing to most people, I think. If through their teenage lives they just party all of the time, how can they expect to excel when they have to grow up and support themselves and maybe even a family?
If we give everything up to fate, we may very well fail. Good things come through acting upon opportunities that arise from good planning. Fate is just like rolling dice; you never know what you will end up with. I believe that we should plan ahead for the future, and always be working on a goal in order to succeed.
