I believe in diving on the floor for volleyballs. If you are willing to throw your body on the floor to keep a ball in the air, then you are pretty dedicated. So what I am trying to say is, I believe in dedication to what you want, what really matters, and what you love.
In my case, what I want, love, and care about is volleyball. Making good plays and working together with my team mates gives me and unbelievable adrenaline rush that I can’t get doing anything else. It is a great feeling when we win because when you get something you have worked for it feels even better than getting something for “free.” I enjoy working for what I want so volleyball is the sport for me.
Dedication not only helps your future, but it also changes the way you do things and gives people a good impression. The first time I learned dedication was when my mom signed me up for soccer when I was four years old. Even though I was young, working with a team, being at every game and practice, and giving a 110 percent taught me dedication and determination that I will always remember.
Not everyone is going to approve of what you want in life but you should not let others have an affect on what your future holds. If you want it, go for it! Some career paths are hard to deal with such as traveling for a job or joining one of the military services but if it is what you want then it is what you should do. Determination and dedication adds up in the end because it makes your future and forms your character.
