A person can successful in whatever they choose in life, if they work towards their goal. I guess I say that because I am not a quitter. I will keep working towards what I want. Being a quitter in life will get you nowhere. You will only come across as a failure. You will never be seen as anything more.

I thought that I would not get out of high school: I always thought I was not smart enough. However, when it was time for me to graduate I came across a big problem. If I did not pass my earth science regents, I would be stuck in high school for six more months or I would have to attend summer school. Therefore, I studied hard and got all the help I could get. At that point, failure was not an option for me. I will never accept a failure. I would do anything in my power to keep that from happening.

So turns out that I passed the test. Words could not explain how I felt at that moment, knowing that I was actually going to graduate and that I was scared for nothing. I remember getting that phone call from my grade adviser whom I was close with telling me I passed. At that moment, I just jumped with happiness. I had just put so much work into everything that it would have really bothered me if I had failed, and pushed myself for nothing.

I believe that a person should never give up and always try their hardest. Being in that situation, I felt that there was nothing I could do. I thought to myself repeatedly “What if I don’t study hard enough and I fail?” However, the same way I just used my belief in a school related matter, this is something people can use in their everyday life. Working towards something you want in life, whatever it may be, will get you the result you want but you have to be willing to work for it and give it your all no matter what. I was brought up with this belief and it had stayed with me, as I was growing up.
