Have you ever had a day where all you think are gloomy thoughts? And then somebody gives you something that makes your whole day one lighter brighter shade of yellow. Hope. I believe in hope. Hope for a better day; hope that someday your prince will come to take you away with him. Hope.

The camera zooms in on a girl sitting, alone. She’s in a new school. She has listened to people ridicule her behind her back, calling her nerd, weirdo, loser. As she’s sitting there, a beautiful angel walks over to her table and invites her to come sit with her and her friends. The girl follows the angel, dazed that this is happening to her. The beautiful angel was just an average girl and yet she did more than just invite the girl to sit with her at the lunch table. She invited the girl into a circle of friends that would care about her. Finally the girl felt accepted. Finally she felt safe. Finally a seed of hope was planted in her heart.

A mother watches her little girl as she is dressing up in dress up clothes a couple sizes too big. While the mother smiles, the little girl pretends like she is a princess admiring herself in the mirror. The little girl sees past the oversized clothes into her inner self and sees a princess gazing back at her in the mirror. The mother laughs as her little girl draws a picture of a princess holding hands with a prince. The little girl grows into a teenager. The mother watches as her daughter cries when no guys ask her to dances. She feels pain, as she watches her little girl struggle seeing all her friends getting asked on dates. The mother reminds her that her prince is still out there and that he is waiting for her. The mother reminds the daughter how special she is. The teenage girl grows into a beautiful young woman. As the young woman leaves for college, her mother reminds her how special she is to her parents. At college, the young woman meets a handsome young man. The handsome young man proposes to her, and the young woman realizes that the young man loves her for who she is inside. As her little girl marries the handsome young man, the mother smiles through her tears as she realizes that her little girl is finally getting married to her prince. One day the young mother goes to visit her parents. Walking through the house that she grew up in as a child, she spots a picture of a prince and princess holding hands. She laughs as she realizes that her dream has come true. She has a family, a prince, and love.

For some people life is both dull and boring or always going down, there never seems to be an up. I believe that people can be a ray of hope in someone’s life by just giving a hug, smile or a friendly pat on the back. I believe in hope.
