I believe winter to be the best time of year because when it’s cold outside, one doesn’t need an ice chest to keep his beer cold. During the summer months, much money can be spent on ice to keep beer cold while not in the immediate vicinity of a refridgerator. Ice chests are heavy when laden with beer and ice, but when it’s cold outside, one only has to carry around the case of beer. It’s much easier on the back to not have to lug around 50 pounds of chilled goodness. Not having to use ice saves money for other things, such as more beer, or even some food, unless beer can be considered a food. Then that’s just being redundant. Also, the electricity bill will be less if one uses a refridgerator to cool his case of bottled happiness and sunshine. Also, once the beer is opened, it stays cold longer. Winter, by far, is the best time of year, if only for that one simple fact.
