Grades are important
“Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. This is a famous quote by Al Franken explaining how people should learn from their mistakes. If we do not experience things in life, how could we learn from them? How could we learn not do to do these things but to try them and see them go horribly wrong? If you have ever wondered that if you had not done something, how your life would be different then you have probably made a few mistakes in life. However the important thing is that you learn from your mistakes because for every mistake you make that is a chance for you to make your life better I n the long run.
Mistakes are a part of being human. Nobody is perfect and we all make bad choices sometimes. Some people do not learn and keep repeating these errors. I have been guilty of repeat some errors and not learning my lesson. It took me until my sophomore year in high school to learn the greatest lesson of all.
When I was a sophomore in high school, I made a big mistake that has changed me for the better in the long run. My sophomore year I was going things at my home and I had stopped doing my homework as much as I did before. Since I did not do my homework I did not do very well on test or quizzes and hence my grades started to fall. At first I did not really see a big deal with this but that was my mistake. As I let my grades fall my opportunity for scholarships were dropping by the second. I have learned that grades are a very important part of my school life and have since changed my ways. Since then I have had a significant rise in my grade point average as well as my class rank. To think I almost let my future goals slip away over a little mistake as to stop caring about school is bad, but since I realized that I have turned it all around.
