Every night when we sit down at the dinner table, we pray before eatt. The lucky one who gets to pray rotates from week to week, between me and my sisters. The prayer we usually say is, God is good, God is great, and we thantk him for our food, and then we add a little something else, depending on what is going on in our life.
The phrase, God is good, God is great, is something people may have trouble understanding at certain points in thier life. Sometimes something terrible happens, and as I pray, I think why should I be thanking God for this. I have to remind myself that things happen for a reason, and we have to accept those challengesl, and move on with our lives. Whenever we come across a problem, we have to play it cool, and know that God has it under control.
During confirmation this year, I have learned alot about trusting God. If I follow the teachings of the lord, I know that I will be on the right track. If I ever doubt my faith in the lord, I just remind myself that God is good, God is great, and I thank him for leading me in the right direction.
