I believe in role-playing games, specifically the Final Fantasy series. To beat the game and every single secret in the game takes a whole lot of patience. It is the same with achieving one’s dream; it takes patience. Patience is very hard to do as we live in a land of technology where everything moves fast. As a result of this, we do not like to wait, and we are not very patient.
The closest I have ever come to beating a Final Fantasy game was in Final Fantasy X. Technically, I did beat it but I never beat all the secrets. It is just as real life; you never really accomplish a goal until you beat every single obstacle in the way. It takes a long time and many people come across an obstacle. They come across obstacles such as losing a job, death of a friend or family, and the like.
When a friend of mine was over at my house, she wanted me to do some side-quests for her in Final Fantasy X. After I did, I went to go get some snacks and she took the controller and played around. She went in a very high level dungeon without saving and died. Needless to say I was pretty angry with her; the side-quest I did for her in the game was a very hard thing to beat. But later, I accidentally saved her file over mine. Now, that made me lose my patience and I screamed pretty loud. Just as I had lost my file, I lost my patience and lost my dream of beating every single secret in the game.
Just like that a person can lose their goal and gain a failure. When a person loses patience they begin to lose their dream. Unlike in a game where you can always start over, in real life, starting over with a dream is a hard thing to do. Especially if you have to start back at square one. To achieve your dream you need the patience to wait for opportunities and the patience to overcome the obstacles to reach your dream.
This I Believe.
