In a person’s life, many things and changes can occur that shape the way they live and the things they believe. For me, knowing that God is always there is what shapes the way I live my life. Through all things, God will help me to endure whether the occasion is under good or bad circumstances. Now good things do happen, but the bad are not completely gone.
In my life so far, many things have happened that would cause someone to need help in some way or another. At younger ages, people very close to me have died, including one of my best friends when I was in third grade. When I was younger, I didn’t understand why my friend had died, but my mom told me that God had a reason. Now that I am older, I understand the Bible verse Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose.” That verse alone helps me to understand that even though I may not know why something is happening, God is in control and He knows what is going to happen with it. Knowing that allows a person so much peace of mind, that all you should technically have virtually nothing to worry about. The Bible also says in the book of Isaiah, “Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint.” – Isaiah 40: 30-31. I have learned that no matter what I am going through, God will see me through it.
God is not just an entity for when things are not going the way we planned, but He is the one to thank when things are going well. “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!”- Philippians 4:4. Even when good things are happening, I remember that I can’t forget about God and what he has done for me. I unfortunately don’t always live this way, but Philippians 4:4 reminds how I should live, and I strive to do so. In everything I do, I need to thank God for all he does for me, and that is how I must live my life, for Him, because He does the same for me everyday, being there beside me. This is what I believe.
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.”
-1 Corinthians 15:10
