This I Believe
I believe that family is everything. Take advantage of your family, because you never know when it is your last time with them. Cherish every moment you have with them because every moment is a memory.
It all started when I was old enough to talk; ever since then I have always wanted to be like my brother and sister. My brother and sister are seventeen years older than me, and they are my best friends. They put a smile on my face when I’m sad, they help me with my problems, they always give me advice, and we always have fun when we are together.
I remember when I was younger; my brother and sister use to gang up on me; my brother would pick me up by my shirt and hang me from the back of the door, and both my brother and sister would tickle me until I could not breathe. After they tickled me to death they would leave me hanging until they heard my mom and dad drive up to the house.
My sister, brother, and I always have so much fun together. Whenever my brother and sister and I go to a store all together, we always play tag inside the store, our mom always yells at us, and tell us to stop, but we never listen.
Family is everything; anyone can be your family. Love and be kind to all your family; never hold grudges against them, because you never know when you are going to need them to help you out.
When I was about eight my brother and sister went off to college, and that was the saddest day of my life; because I knew that I would not have anyone to play tag with in the store, anyone waking me up in the middle of the night to sing, or my brother and I would not be able to sneak into my sister’s room and scream to wake her up by scaring her. I knew that their going away was for their own good, because they had to go and learn how to be adults, and live their own lives.
Family is always there for each other through thick and thin. My brother, sister and I are like peanut butter, jelly, and the bread or like ice cream, the cone, and itty-bitty sprinkles. We always have fun together. Sometimes we fight, argue, and hate each other’s guts, but at the end we love each other, and always will, just like any other family.
