Above all things, I believe in myself. I believe in self-worth, self-respect and self-determination. I believe in having confidence, courage and dignity.
I believe that all sources of happiness start from within. Although I think that you should surround yourself with people that love you and make you happy, you are the only person who can truly and completely control your emotions. You are responsible for your happiness, for happiness starts from within. If you are not content with yourself, then you will never really learn to trust and confide in others.
I believe that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes people come in and out of your life who you have invested much trust in. Sometimes those people will hurt you. Sometimes it seems as though things haven’t gone as they were planned. And sometimes, it may seem as though things won’t ever get any better. However, in the end, each challenging event only makes you stronger. You must rise above, and give yourself credit for how far you’ve come and how much you have gone through.
I believe that based on the events of my life so far, I can handle anything. Any challenge, any tragedy, any triumph—I know that I can and will pull through. By learning to have faith in myself, I have gained the strength and courage to face anything put in front of me. Whatever life has in store for me, I will hold my head high and hold myself together with composure and a smile.
I believe that I will never crack under pressure, I will never give less than one hundred percent, and I will do everything that I set my mind to. I believe that I will always have myself to rely on, and I will always have my own back. I believe that I will help myself out of any situation, and I will forgive myself for anything I’ve ever blamed myself for. I believe that I have the strength to share this belief with others, in hopes that they will feel the same self-worth.
Above all things, I believe in myself.
