I believe that every man in the United States should have to be in the military for at least two years. I don’t think it’s too much too ask. Being in the military for two years would be a big help to each person and our country. This way we would have a very strong military and something like 9/11wont happen again because we would be more prepared.

If we had a larger military we would know that we would be okay if we were at war with a lot of our men overseas and we end-up getting attacked over here. Then we would be able to fight back and know that we had a chance.

Military experience would also help with how people react to problems in their life. They would be able to handle them a lot better and be able to come up with a smarter solution that could someday help save their life or someone else’s life. I believe that every person should be able to make good choices that might save another person’s life and not make a stupid mistake that could get them killed.

Every man should be in the military for at least two years. I read a book about the Spartan warriors and how they started training at age seven. I believe that we should be more like they were. They took it as an honor to die in battle. Their whole life revolved around becoming a warrior and dying in battle for Sparta. Whenever they were in battle they were usually greatly outnumbered, but they never retreated. They fought until the last man was dead. They were the greatest fighters of their time, and I think that we could take a few pointers from them on how they trained their military.

Every man in the U.S should have to be in the military for at least two years. That should include boot camp and all other training. Then each person can decide to stay in the military or return home and remain on active duty for a couple years. Then they can go on with the rest of their lives better able to handle anything that may occur.
