I believe in Baseball. I believe in Baseball because it brings people together. Baseball is America’s pastime. In the olden days when people had nothing to do, baseball alone brought them together. It gave them something fun to do. People don’t just have to play to win, just to enjoy the game. When I play bad at a game, it doesn’t matter, because I still have fun! The crowd also makes it more enjoyable, because they cheer everyone on, no matter how they’re playing.
Last year, I was playing a tournament game out in the hot sun. My dad was coaching, and I was having a great time. I then struck out and was extremely frustrated.
“Don’t worry about it, the only reason you and I are out here is to have fun.”
I then realized that baseball is fun, and I relaxed. The next time up, after joking with my friends, I crushed a homerun over the left field fence. I trotted around the bases, having a great time and touched the dusty home plate.
“Having fun yet,” exclaimed my dad.
“Yes I answered, absolutely.”
After that experience I finally realized how to play baseball, and have fun. Later, when I went to a Brewer game, I saw families having fun being together. They were laughing, joking, and having a great time. When relatives come in that I haven’t seen for a while, my family usually invites them to a Brewers game. It was so much fun to spend time with my relatives. Me and my cousin both caught balls! I had a great time spending time with my family and watching a great Brewers game. That is another great quality of baseball. It brings people together. Baseball has so many great qualities like giving a great experience or bringing people together. This I believe.
