I believe that children are our future. It is important to nurture the world’s children so that they will lead a normal childhood. If this is successful, they will be capable of leading the world in the future. Anything that destroys or harms children is wrong because that is destroying the future. Things like war and poverty need to be stopped because they affect children the most and have the greatest impact on them. Although they may not fight in a war, if their parents are killed they become orphans without someone to care for them or someone to looks up to. By caring for our children properly, we would be able to cure most of the problems in the world.
Children connect us to a happier and carefree time that is childhood. I believe that you shouldn’t take life too seriously and children exemplify this idea. It is important to connect with our childhood because life is simpler: something as simple as a sunny day could make us happy. And when it’s not sunny, children can have fun anyways by splashing in puddles. Many adults do not have this kind of resourcefulness that allows them to live carefree and for themselves. If everyone would just pay attention to children, they would learn how life is supposed to be lived. Children don’t have regrets because they believe that they make the correct choices. Not many adults can say the same thing.
The ability to keep in touch with childhood and care for children is the way to truly be human. We were all children once, so being able to connect with our former selves creates a connection to the past. It also gives us the ability to relate to our children, which would in turn help them to make the most of their childhood and grow up correctly. This is why I believe that children are the key to our future and to being human. Childhood is something that everyone shares, good or bad, so it connects everyone in the world. Some may not live to grow up, but they still share a childhood with everyone else.
