A government For The People

I Believe that our government is not doing what is in the best interest of our country. In the united States constitution it sates “to promote the general welfare of the people” and i government has not held true to this. we are now falling into the pattern that has repeated itself over and over again. First the government declares war. soon after that the economy falls’ into a recession and inflation rises and since we started to use gasoline the price of gas has risen, just to feed the machines of war.

In his Gettysburg address Abraham Lincoln sated “that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth”. Well that is just what it has done parishes from this earth, with the introduction of the war mongers in our government who use war to make a profit. Now those people have made sure the the war has gone on longer and longer so that they may make more money to better their lives and cause the death of the young men and woman in our armed forces. Along with those deaths another thing has gone up the price of gas has gone up, which in turn has caused a cascading effect of inflation . Now even the price of beans has gone up due to the cost of gas because it takes money to ship the goods to the plants which then in turn ship the goods to the store who use gas to heat the store that the food and other goods that are in there.

It also cost gas to get to the store to pick up the food get home and not only that but it cost money to cook the food and to heat the house that the food is cooked in. The fact that the government can do something about it really ticks me off. we have oil reserves in the Rocky Mountains, open them. We can drill on government land in Alaska, we have oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, they can stop this war and stop using the gas that they are using for the machines of war and use them for the civilians at home and that can negotiate a new price of oil from foreign states such as Saudi Arabia who is cutting off our oil supply because of the war. Now does that sound like a government for the people, when they can do all that yet they don’t?

That is not the only thing that has gotten worse. During the war that is being caused by the warmongers the nation has fallen into a recession. The price of everything has risen food, gas, the cost of living, citizens falling into debt to try to feed and cloth and keep their family warm, but along with that some things have fallen the amount of kids staying in school which in turn is balanced out by the fact that some of them are going into the military and not being dissuaded by our government to continue their education and go into to collage.

Does that sound like a government for the people, it doesn’t to me. I still fervently believe that our government is not doing what it can for the people and thus it is not run by the people it is run by a select few and those two parts have fallen so has the whole thing and this is what I believe.
