The True meaning of love
I believe in love, an emotion and conqueror of all other human feelings and the worries of the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Love can be defined in many words. Love is devotion, sacrifice, and patience. Love is more than mere kindness, but it doesn’t always have to be about romance and affairs. Love is abstract but one can express it in many ways: helping his loved one when she needs help, sacrificing his free time when she needs something, being patient when teaching her something, always letting her know that she’s special by giving her gifts on special occasions and it is always in the form of giving.
Love can be giving but one must also receive love in return. If this is not accomplished, then love does not work. If it doesn’t work, love can turn into hate and jealousy. When I was in 8th grade, for some strange reason, I fell for a geeky and dorky guy who was totally full of himself. I guess he didn’t like me back just because he was in honors class and I wasn’t. And so, eventually, I did stop liking him. Shortly after, I got my revenge by tripping him on the bus. Well, it would’ve been better if he had fallen and broke his nose, but I knew that I would be in big trouble if he did. Ah well, at least I saw through him that he’s a jerk who won’t ever get a girlfriend, and not only because he looks like a dorky, ugly, geeky, nerdy type of guy, he’s got a nasty attitude too. Honestly, I don’t even know why I crushed on him. Well, at least it’s over now.
For people who do not know the meaning of love, they ignore the fact that no one is perfect, that their loved ones can make mistakes too, the fact that despite the good qualities of human nature, everyone has a second and lower nature. Because they ignore and cannot understand, these people resolve the issues of their love life by giving their love to someone else, hurting and ignoring their loved ones, who are what really mattered.
I, on the other hand, have never been unfaithful to the person who I love and romance about because I knew that once I fall in love, if I fall really deep, I am shunned from everyone else. In other words, once I fall hard into love, I would feel as though I can never get out. That’s the key to preventing me from being attracted to anyone else.
It depends on how much you are attracted to that person. I crushed on a couple of guys in my past and was blinded from getting to know other friends. I only woke up when it was over.
Love is blinding but as long as you know its true meaning, it can be a pleasant experience.
