This I believe…
I believe in family. I believe that the strongest bond in the world is family. I believe that the saying “blood is thicker than water” is true. I believe that if someone threatens another person’s family member, they will have to face the whole family. I believe that families ought to be there for one another in all the trials and triumphs that life has them to conquer. I believe that families should never let anything come between them. I believe that if one gets a call in the middle of the night and it is their sister and all she wants is to talk, I believe they should get dressed as soon as possible and go be by her side. I believe that if someone in the family is experiencing a tragedy then the whole family shall experience it together. I believe that everyone in the family must approve of marriages, divorces and any other big decisions that are to be made. I believe that decision-making should be done together because if not everyone approves of an individual then they could cause the whole family to be torn apart. I believe that families must establish traditions and keep them year after year and not ever let them die. I believe not only shall families keep traditions but they must teach their children those traditions as well. I believe that families should teach children their beliefs and customs. I believe that children ought to be brought up in Christian homes and go to worship services on Sunday mornings and pray before meals. I believe that families should eat dinner together every night, and have at least one family day a week. I believe that families shall fight together to work out differences instead of allowing their selves to be pulled apart.
I believe that GOD made families for a reason, and that reason being was, for them to stick by each other and be there for one another. I believe that GOD thought that it would be easier for everyone if they had someone to talk to about their problems, lean on and look up to when they need help. I believe GOD created parents to care for young children and guide them down the right path.
The reason that I reached my beliefs is because the main members of my family have always been close knit. We have always been there for one another and stuck by each other no matter the circumstances or what we were going through. My family has always put the family first and everything else last. As far back as I can remember my family has rejoiced together and cried together. I have always kept in close contact with my family, calling to check on each of my family members every day. I believe that someday I will be able to pass on the quality of family to my children, and that my children will have the same thoughts about their family. One day I hope that when people look back and think of me they will be able to say that I was a real family person.
