I Believe in Music
I believe in the power of music. I relate music to my everyday life. Music tells a story and when I listen to the lyrics or words of a song I can relate certain songs to what is happening in my life. Music touches me in a positive way. There are also songs out there that can have a bad influence on not just me but anybody. There are songs out there that talk about killing, shooting, drugs, and some even about the worshiping of the devil. Those are the songs that I stay away from. There is one song in particular that I love with all my heart. When I here this song it sends a chill down my spine. The song is the Lords Prayer. Speaking the Lords Prayer is powerful in it self, but to put it to music, is chilling to me. Every time I here the Lords Prayer sung, it never fails to send a chill down my spine. Music has helped me get through some tough times in my life. There are songs that bring tears to my eyes and some that bring great joy. There are also some powerful songs that don’t have any lyrics at all, it is just music. The National Anthem touches my heart no matter if it is just music or if I sing the words along with it. Music is used in most businesses as a background, so that there is not just complete silence. Weddings and funerals also use music which shows that the diversity of music, is never ending. Music can also be used for teaching, by making a song out of the alphabet it makes it easier for children to learn. Music helps pass the time when you are stuck in traffic or on those long commutes to work. Most couples these days have a song that they use to represent their relationship. I believe that music touches the soul. So many great artists out in the world, touch lives with their music everyday. I believe that with music the world is a better place. .
