Inner Kindness
I believe in the inner kindness of people. I truly believe in honor, selflessness, and kindness. I believe people want to help other people. I have witnessed the following events. One example included an elderly person having trouble with carrying groceries. I watched two teens slowly walk with the woman, carry her bags, and load them into her vehicle. She was so enlightened by this; she offered them both a few dollars. Both teens denied acceptance of the cash and informed her that it was just a nice thing to do.
I have seen people give their lives to allow freedom for the rest of individuals in the country. I could not declare the amount of selflessness it would take to die for a stranger, but people do it everyday. More people are entering the armed forces everyday.
I watched a little girl find a dollar on the ground and she walked to an employee and handed them the dollar. She then informed them someone had lost their money. I watched the employee give the dollar to the manager. This employee did not put the cash into their pocket, even though the chance was there. I have seen hitchhikers being picked up. I have witnessed people drop things and as a stranger passes by, it is picked up and placed in the owner’s hand with a smile. All of theses situations, I have witnessed. I have decided to continue to look for the good. I still have hope for human kind if we could continue to find our own inner kindness.
