This I Believe

I believe in the existence of a benevolent God

Who’s honest, authentic and has no façade

I believe that this God created the earth

from the tiniest seeds to the Stars fiery birth

I believe God walks with me everyday

God hears my concerns and loves when I pray

I believe God adores everybody the same

including the ones who don’t know his name

I believe that the Bible was divinely inspired

the tales and stories over millenniums acquired

I believe that Christ Jesus is Gods belov’d son

His radical teachings – a revolution begun

I believe that our minds are immensely too small

to grasp all Gods mystery and have answers for all

Therefore I wonder bout so many things

I wonder if God causes the innocent to die

I wonder if heaven is here or up in the sky

I wonder why there’s pain and so much offense

Divine intervention – it’d make so much sense

I wonder how God caused all the creation

In exact seven days or by Darwinian formation

I wonder if Christians are the only one’s right

I wonder why faith groups constantly fight

I wonder what Gods plan is for my life

Career orientation or just a good wife?

How do I serve according to Gods will

I can’t hear Gods voice, I can’t become still

I wonder what gender our God really is

Is it okay to describe God as a “his”

I wonder what’ll happen the moment I pass

Will I see my beloved, will I touch Nature’s grass

I reject the idea that death leads to zero

Just look at God’s image from your own wall mirrow

I reject the idea that we’ll find all answers

the meaning of suffering, the cure to all cancers

I reject the idea that live has no greater intention

that the cosmos came together without intervention

I reject the idea that faith is merely a crutch

as for my life it has added a meaningful touch!
