Dance is an art form, and expression, through creative dance movements. Dancing is an
expression of style and emotion. Through dance you can convey different feelings. Like
happiness or sadness. I believe in dance. I love to dance. I’ve been dancing all of my life and I
don’t know where I would be without dance. It started when I was young about 9 or 10 years old.
My mom put me in a cheerleading program at first I thought it was silly and I had no interest in
it. But after a couple of weeks I was so into it. I loved it. I couldn’t get enough of cheerleading
and dancing. I couldn’t wait for the time to come each day where I got to go to practice. It
brought pure happiness to me. As I got older and I was in middle school we moved to a different
city I continued to cheer and dance. I loved it my twin brother played football and I cheerleaded
at the football games. The cheerleaders got to go to competition each year. One year when I was
12 years old, we went to competition, won first place, and got to compete in Orlando florida. It
was the best time of my life. People may not think of cheerleaders as dancers, but actually 75 %
of cheerleading is dancing and performing. And only 25 % of it is cheering. So for me
cheerleaders are dancers. In highschool I cheerleaded and danced all of my highschool years,
which was really fun. Cheerleading in highschool brought out another side of me, a happier more
exiting me, and I love it for that. I love dancing it is one of my favorite hobbies, its fun to dance,
it makes you break out of that shell that your in. Its fun to dance and to watch someone dancing.
Its going to be there fo me when I need it, I can dance anytime I want to, and it is always, as long
as I live, going to make me happy. That’s why I believe in dance, it can brighten up anybodies
day and make someone very happy, at least it does for m. that’s why I believe so much in dance
and couldn’t live without it.
Dancing has completely changed me. I used to be a very shy and timid person but after I
got into dancing, I completely changed. I loved being in front of the crowd. It has caused me be
more social, and has completely made my self esteem grow. And with the confidence I have
gained through dancing its going to help me in life with school and work.so I am very grateful
to be a dancer. And I hope it will take me very far in life.
