I believe that people should take responsibility for what they do wrong. People need to accept that they are human, and they are going to make mistakes. When a person makes a mistake, they often tend to blame others to avoid getting in trouble. If someone blames another person for something they have done wrong, they end up getting caught for placing blame and for the wrong they have done. This situation often results in more bad consequences then if the person would take the blame right away. Also, to go along with the bad consequences, a person’s reputation goes down, and they become known as a liar. In other words, if you cannot stand up for the mistakes you make, consider yourself a coward because you are running away from your fears. It is better to own up to something you have done, and this is a lesson I learned at work. I work at the local carwash in Napoleon Ohio, and while working one day, I broke a part in the, wash. My first thought was that no one would find out, and I would get away with it. Then I thought back to what I was taught as a child, and that was to admit what you have done wrong, and the consequences would not be as severe as if I were to blame it on someone else first. After thoughts ran through my mind, I went to the office, and explained to the manager what I had done, and he wasn’t even that angry. By taking the blame for my actions, I did not suffer any bad consequences. Another time is also at the wash, an employee stole money from a fellow worker. The victim noticed that the money was missing and told the manager. The manager knew from the beginning who stole the money, and the person who did refused to confess. This person suffered consequence; then he was fired. Both of these examples I have shared tell why it is always better to take the blame for what you have done instead of placing it on others.
