It was said by a Confederate general at the end of the war between states that if the south lost the civil war the only history of that time period that would be taught would be from the northern point of view. He could have never been more right. Today we teach children that the Civil War was just about slavery and that was it. Everyone leaves out the monetary factors, or any other factors, that played a large role in the seccesion. Children area taught that the South were the bad guys and that is the farthest thing from the truth. All I ask is that my ancestors and heritage be adequately represented in history.
