I Believe in Siblings
Living without siblings is a tree with only one branch. You can always count on your siblings to hold you up when you’re about to fall.
Did you grow up with brothers and sisters? Or were you an only child? I have a sister and a brother and it’s great. I always have two someones to come to when I want to talk. I believe siblings will do anything for each other and they are the best family you can have. For example, I was camping with my mom on Labor Day weekend and I wanted to go home a day early, but my mom and step dad wouldn’t take me home. My sister who was working (on-call) drove an hour to come get me even though she didn’t have to, and wasn’t supposed to. She did it because she knew I wanted to leave and she cares about me.
“A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost.”
– Marion C. Garretty
To me this quote means that if you have a brother or sister you always have a piece of childhood. If you were an only child you would have no one to remind of your childhood- which is most likely a time you would want to remember. The only bad thing about having siblings is they seem to like to remind you about all the embarrassing moments. My little brother especially likes to do this, but I guess that’s brothers for you.
When I’m with my brother and sister I think I feel most comfortable. I can sing and dance and not care how stupid I look. I don’t know what I would do if I lost either one of them, but I know that if I did it would never be the same and that nobody could replace them. They are my best friends and as I said in the beginning they hold me up when I’m about to fall.
