I believe that the most important thing any one person cad do in their lifetime, is to perform a simple act of kindness for a person in need. I believe that sometime it is the simplest act that can change someone else’s life forever. I believe that one good deed causes a ripple effect that will affect hundreds of other lives, and will eventually come back to you. Even if you don’t change that person’s life, at least make their day, take time from your busy schedule to help a lost tourist, bring a lost pet back to it’s rightful owner, help a child with their homework, or soothe a friend in distress. Or even better, perform a random act of kindness for someone around you. Pay for someone’s toll on the highway, or give a bouquet of flowers to your neighbor on May Day.

One simple act is all a person has to do to make the world a better place. And the works is a better place if you make one person smile, or laugh who otherwise would not have. So next time you’re walking down the street, and you see someone is need of assistance, why not help them. Help the woman whose high heel broke and is not lying sprawling on the floor, or give your extra five dollars to the man on the street who just lost his home in a fire. Help make someone’s’ day, and you’ll find that when they thank you, they’ll have helped make your day a little brighter as well.
