Rosa Parks decided to break the law of blacks giving up their seats to whites because she thought the law was unfair. She was tired of the law after forty-two long years of it. Rosa Parks spent her whole life fighting for rights and dignity of all people. She believed “we are here on the planet Earth to live, grow up, and do what we can to make the world a better place for all people to enjoy freedom.”

I agree with Cardinal McCarrick in that he said Rosa Parks “changed America and made it a better place.” Half of my family is not white. Without Rosa Parks’ acts against racism, my mom might not have married my dad and I would not exist. I think my family makes this world a better place. This I believe.
