Creativity in Baking

Everybody is creative in their own way. I am very creative when it comes to baking. When you bake, you can just follow the recipe. But I learned that when you change it up, it makes the cupcakes more interesting. I also know that it is important to do what you want because if you don’t like what you’re doing, you won’t put in your best effort. I think it is important to be creative because that shows your personality and what you like. I believe in being creative.

I learned about creativity in baking and that it is alright to be different. People think that they are special when they get cool cupcakes and treats that nobody else can make. I also get to be creative and have fun while baking for other people. It is super fun coming up with new combinations and flavors. I get to mix and match with flavors that may seem that they would be weird together. I also learned that it is better if you are doing something that you want to do not just something that someone else wants you to do. I know that if I’m not doing something that I want to do I don’t try quite as hard to make everything absolutely perfect. I know it is important to add a touch of you, because if people can tell by the look of what you made that you made it, you’ve done a great job!

The first time I really had people notice my creativity was when I baked cupcakes for my cousin’s 5th birthday party. Her theme was butterflies and the only specifications were chocolate cupcakes, with mostly pink buttercream frosting, and they needed at least two dozen. Now most people would do what her mom said she would’ve done if she had made the cupcakes which was just put a little butterfly picture on top of each cupcake. I really wanted to let my creativity flow for this project. After a lot of searching around, I came up with the perfect idea. The idea was to take the cupcakes and set them out on a cake decorating sheet on the table and set them up to look like a butterfly. The tough, really fun and creative part was to frost and decorate the cupcakes to look like an actual butterfly. When I was finished, it was perfection and looked like an actual butterfly. Everybody absolutely loved the creativeness of the design and thought it was perfectly amazing.

Being creative isn’t just what people want you to do or to be like. It’s what you want and like to do. It is good to be different, I can’t imagine what life would be like if everyone did the same thing and there was no creativity. Life would be bland and who would want that. Everybody is creative in their own way. I believe in being creative.
